#PH-3 - MAESER, Utah - DPO-6 - Clear strike of a Doane cancel on a postcard back - Dated Nov. 6, 1909 - $70.00

This card is from a daughter to her mother (same person as above), and has the dateline: "Maeser, Utah, Nov. 9. 1909". The message talks about the family being homesick for "Grandma" to come visit soon, and is clear and legible. The cancel is slightly more difficult to read at the top because of the lettering behind it, but is clear, and one can see a light impression of the numeral "1" in the bars. There is a very short break in the top of the dial. The other postmark is a partial impression (lettering at the top of the cancel is largely indistinct) of the same Robertson, Wyo. large-dial, also with the numeral 1 between the bars, used as a receiving stamp. A VeryGood, clean card. The floral greeting on the reverse is of no consequence, other than the curiosity of a Vernal, Utah Rec'd stamp.
